Notifyr 6.1 release notes

Release date: 4 May 2022

I'm excited to announce that the Notifyr - Notifications for Bitbucket Data Center 6.1 release is now available.

Highlights include:

New email notifications for Pull Requests

New email notifications for Pull Requests

You can now configure to receive different email notifications based on Pull Requests with Notifyr. These notifications can be enabled on a per-user-per-repository basis or using the project- and repository hook configuration.

Some of these notifications overlap with the default notifications coming with Bitbucket. The default behavior could be disabled using the steps explained here: disabled built-in notifications.

Additional events for hook configuration

There are 5 new events to use when you are using the project and repository hook. These events are added to the documentation Setting up a repository hook with JSON.

Get ready to upgrade

Before upgrading from an earlier version, check out our compatibility matrix

Remember to renew your active software maintenance license too.

Check your custom templates

If you or your administrator customized the email templates (Customize your notification templates) then these have to be updated to incorporate the changes within this release.

I recommend always testing the upgrade of Notifyr on a non-production environment before upgrading your live environment. In some cases, Bitbucket requires a restart to upgrade Notifyr successfully.
